Surveys using Global Positioning Systems (GPS) allow the capture of 3D points which are tied back to the national GPS network. A network of orbiting satellites allows the precise positioning of a receiver based on the ground.

Sitechnics uses GPS to supplement Topographic surveys, to undertake complete surveys of large areas, to determine height benchmarks to the National Network and to position primary site control points.
